Come together with a small group of makers to ask questions and get help with product design, finding factories, figuring out costs and more! Roundtables offer a unique, collaborative setting to make progress with your product idea. We’ll start with our discussion topic of the month, where you will learn step-by-step strategies for a particular area of making as well as best practices and real life examples. Then, each participant will have their own ‘hot seat’ where they can ask questions and get expert consulting to move forward with their project. Roundtables are virtual – participate from anywhere!
1. Up to 5 People May Join: We keep it small, intimate, and productive.
2. Real-time Learning & Consulting: We’ll spend 20-30 minutes on our session topic and the remainder on hot seats (consulting). Time is divided equally among participants.
3. Bring ANY Questions: They don’t have to relate to the session topic.
4. Learn From Others: Big value here, as it’s likely you will face similar issues at some point on your journey.
5. Meet Fellow Entrepreneurs: Because it’s fun, and who knows where the connections will lead!
Where do Roundtables take place?
Via Google Hangouts. You can log in from anywhere and only need a (free) Google account to participate.
What if I don’t want to share my idea with other people?
Some people are wary about sharing info about their products in group settings. Totally fine! After doing this for many years, I have effective ways of addressing your challenges without the need for specific details. Instructions about how to prepare for this scenario will be sent prior to the event.
I don’t like when over-talkers dominate a group. How do you avoid this?
I don’t like it either! Hot seats are timed and discussions will be moderated with gentle requests to ‘pass the mic’, so that everyone gets a chance to ask questions and receive ample support and information to move their project forward.
What if I still have questions after the call?
You can sign up for One-On-One Support here. I may also suggest resources for you to check out in order to tackle your specific situation.
What if I need to cancel?
No problem, we can move your registration to a future date. If you are canceling more than 30 days prior to the start of the event, you may also request a refund.
